The questions families actually ask.

How quickly can care begin?
Same week. Once a family completes the in-home consultation and the plan of care, we typically begin within three to seven days. Urgent situations can begin sooner.
What does it cost?
$35 per hour for daytime personal care with a four hour daily minimum. $37.50 per hour overnight. $38 per hour for two-hour Home Health Aide drop in visits. $150 per nurse visit. $1,400 per week for a 40-hour week. Deposit to begin care is $700, one week minimum at twenty hours per week, applied to the first invoice.
How are caregivers vetted?
Every Life Changing Care caregiver carries CPR, First Aid, Home Health Aide (HHA), Direct Service Provider (DSP). We run background checks and reference verification on every hire. They are W-2 employees, not contractors. We carry General Liability, Workers Compensation, $20,000 Dishonesty Surety Bond.
What if my caregiver is not the right fit?
We re-match. The caregiver meets your family at the in-home consultation before care begins, so most fit issues surface before day one. If something does not work during the first weeks, we have a 14-day check-in to catch it. We re-match without question and without charge.
How do I pay?
Private pay via ACH, check, or credit card. We invoice weekly. When private pay funds run low, we have active Medicaid plan contracts with Buckeye Health, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Passport, CareSource so families can transition without changing agencies or caregivers.
Do you handle dementia behaviors? Wandering, aggression, sundowning?
Yes. Our caregivers carry the Direct Service Provider credential, Ohio's certification for behavioral support. We have been applying it to adults with developmental disabilities since the agency opened in 2019, and the same protocols transfer directly to dementia behavioral symptoms. We want the rough cases. The families other agencies turned away are the ones we built this division for.
What about HIPAA and data privacy?
Your loved one's information is HIPAA protected and never sold or shared outside our care team. We use it only to deliver care and coordinate with the people you authorize.
Can you cover a same-day need?
We try. We answer live 7am to 9pm, seven days a week. Call and tell us what is going on. If we can staff the shift, we will. If we cannot, we will tell you honestly and help you find someone who can.
